Skule™ Alumni Outreach (Skule™AO) is working to strengthen and build the global Skule Community through a number of activities and services. Clubs are a core component to a student’s experience and we hope to assist them in our fullest capacity through our promotions, opportunities, connections and support. We hope to further create a life cycle where transitioned graduates come back and help the clubs that gave so much to them to make the Club experience even better!

How can I outreach to alumni?


Want help organizing an alumni event?

Step 1 – Contact Skule™AO (message the Page or contacts alumnioutreach@g.skule.ca), with details that may include:

  • Are you looking for alumni volunteers or attendees,
  • What event, activity or program are you brainstorming
  • What kinds of alumni are you looking for (industry, area, discipline, age, experience, interest)
  • When would you like to make it happen (month, semester, day of week, specific date)

* Note the event date in mind must be greater than 4 weeks (5 weeks recommended) from the point you contact Skule™AO in this method. This is to allow 3 weeks for an alumni to see and respond to a promoted opportunity and to cancel the opportunity in less than a week if alumni cannot be found.


Step 2 – Skule™AO will reply with further actions which may include:

  • If you would like us to promote that your club is looking for alumni volunteers in general
  • Asking for further clarification information
  • A meet date to further discuss the possible event, activity or program

Step 3 – An opportunity is created and Skule™AO will promote on relevant channels

  • The club should notify Skule™AO if alumni contact the club about the opportunity or alumni signup.

Step 4 – The opportunity runs

  • The opportunity runs if the desired number of alumni join
  • The club is responsible for updating Skule™AO that the opportunity took place and the information of the alumni who attended

Already have an alumni event planned?

Step 1 (4-5 Weeks before opportunity takes place) – The Club submits a single opportunity* either through the website http://alumni.skule.ca/go/post-opportunity/ or by email. This opportunity should include:

  • A description of the Club and opportunity, how it benefits students
  • Details about what the Club is looking for and what the alumni will be doing
  • The “due date” for alumni to contact the Club about the opportunity
  • The planned date of the event, activity or program
  • A contact person for the opportunity
  • *Note each opportunity should be a separate post

Step 2 (3-4 Weeks before opportunity takes place) – Skule™AO promotes the opportunity on all relevant channels

  • Skule™AO will contact the Club if information is missing and that the opportunity is being promoted

Step 3 (1-3 Weeks before opportunity takes place) – Clubs will notify Skule™AO about any updates or alumni who have shown interest

  • Also Clubs are responsible for continuing the conversation with alumni and updating alumni about any changes or further information

Step 4 (after the opportunity takes place) – The opportunity runs

  • The opportunity runs if the desired number of alumni join
  • The club is responsible for updating Skule™AO that the opportunity took place and the information of the alumni who attended
